Peel, core and slice the apples.
Grate the cheese.
Melt the butter in a pan and gently fry the apples.
Add the grated cheese and seasoning and mix together.
Spread onto rounds of toasted Kentish huffkin or toast and place under a hot grill until the mixture is bubbling.
